Over the coming weeks, we’re gradually rolling out updates to the out-of-self service features that our platform offers.
First up, we're excited to introduce hosted SSC version 1.5: a step towards providing a more personalized and engaging experience for you and your customers. This 1.5 update is all about refreshing the interface and laying the groundwork for exciting future enhancements.
This article we show you what SSC 1.5 looks like and what you can expect from our rollout. In parallel we're working on many other functional improvements to our SSC that you'll see and hear more about soon.
SSC 1.5: A Visual Refresh
The 1.5 Visual Refresh brings a fresh feel to the SSC with a renewed home screen and a more modern look. We’ve standardized card widths to 768px, 576px, or two 376px wide, ensuring a consistent and appealing layout across all devices.
The new blue color scheme creates a sleek look and is a precursor to future customization options, allowing you to personalize SSC with your brand colors.
We’ve made several key changes to enhance usability:
Copy updates: We’ve removed unnecessary text and added new, more personal copy throughout the SSC. Each page now features a subtitle, making navigation and understanding easier.
Card Layouts: Standardized card layouts ensure a clean, organized appearance, improving the overall user experience.
Rollout
We want to make sure we don't just surprise you and your customers in a negative way while rolling out these updates. So we're taking a phased approach for the updates.
First, we'll publish the updates to lesser-customized pages such as the Accounts Overview, Customer Service and Account Details pages (see below for reference).
This way ensures a smooth transition and allows us to perfect the dashboard and other critical features without any disruption to your experience.
We will pro-actively reach out to merchants that have heavily customized their Self Service Center via CSS and JavaScript. Please do reach out to us directly if you have any concerns. We'll make sure to dive in.

Next Rollout Phases
After we've made sure that our updates are received well and we've worked with you to minimize the impact or update any customizations, we'll move onto the next steps:
Dashboard Enhancements: We’re working on making the dashboard more intuitive, clearly distinguishing which products belong to subscriptions. This will make managing your store even easier and prevent any potential confusion
Customization of Look&Feel: In the next cycle, you’ll be able to customize SSC with your brand colors. This feature will allow you to give your store a unique look and feel that aligns with your brand identity.
The new Dashboard
It's good to note that we're still finalizing the dashboard views. This is just to give you a preview.
Questions you may have
So, why the Blue Theme?
You might wonder why we chose a blue color scheme for this update. Blue is our brand color and provides a neutral yet noticeable update. It should make it all seem more fresh without being overwhelming. You'll very soon be able to pick your own brand color and see that reflected through the design much like you see the blue now.
It will remain possible to override any of our default styling with your own custom CSS and JavaScript.
When?
We're going to start rolling out this update gradually the first week of July. We've made sure that this rollout shouldn't interfere in any way with your business, but this should allow you to tell us whenever you still notice anything weird on your end and we can jump in and help.
