The Program overview is a section in Dispatch that you can use to track progress of teams that are in your program.

Note: At this moment you don't automatically get a program. Instead, you'll have to contact us to create a program for you and make you the program manager. If that's the case just send us a message with the name you'd like to give to your program. 

If you are a program manager in Dispatch you can access the Program overview by clicking on "Program" in the header menu in Dispatch:

The program overview explained

When you open the program overview you will see a bunch of metrics per team. Here's a quick breakdown of what they mean, and how they can help you evaluate the progress your teams are making. No teams in your program yet? Read this article to find out how to add them.

1. Experiments in preparation

This is the number of experiments the team has created and that are currently in the "In preparation" stage, but they didn't start running yet. 

Is this number remaining high for a long time? That's a sign experiments the team experiences blockers in getting the experiment live. You can go check with them to see what's going on, and what in your organisation could be blocking them. 

2. Running experiments

This is the number of experiments that the team moved to the "Running" phase, meaning they set a start and end date and started collecting data.

3. Concluded experiments

This is the number of experiments the team has wrapped up and marked as "Concluded". Usually this also includes the (in)validation of assumptions, unless the experiment turned out inconclusive.

Are there many running experiments, but no concluded ones? Then you can check whether the team is not choosing to run experiments that are too big. Especially at the start of a project the goal should be to learn as fast as possible with small experiments.

4. Untested critical assumptions

This is the number of untested critical assumptions the team has, which means the assumption has a high impact on the team's business idea, they know little about it, and they haven't yet validated or invalidated it.

This is a very important number, because a high number indicates the team has a risky business idea they haven't yet tested well enough in the market.

Assigning your teams to a stage

You can assign your team to a stage to track at what stage they are in your innovation program. You can do so by clicking on the Stage "picker" next to the team name:

Switching between different programs

If you're a manager of several programs, you can switch between them via clicking on the program name on the left:
